Octopus or tako has become deeply rooted in the Japanese diet.
In addition, the Japanese find their shape and mode of life to be pretty humorous and interesting.
When they are boiled, they turn bright red. That peculiarity is often used as an inspiration for characters of anime, movies and TV programs.
When I was a small child, my mother used to put tako-shaped sausages into my box lunch.

About Sushi that can be tasted in various parts of the world nowadays.

The creation of Sushi took place in the early 1800s and it started as putting a piece of boiled fish on hand-shaped rice.
At present, Sushi is one of the representative Japanese foods as well as Teriyaki and Tempura.
In the early 1900s, Sushi arrived in the US and it started blending in the western society with a transformation of new Sushi such as California roll.

In Japan, becoming a Sushi chef needs to have approximately 10 years of training as the expression of “3 years for cooking rice and 8 years for shaping rice”.
In addition, becoming a Sushi chef for making a delicious Sushi needs to have knowledge,
experience, and technique such as ability to examine fresh fishes in the fish market and cut a thin slice as comprehending a season for various fishes to be a good taste.

At AOI, we prepared for Sushi T-shirt based on Origami (paper folding) strategy.
Sushi roll is completed by folding and rolling it!
Please taste it by rolling Toro (the fatty meat of tuna), Wasabi (green horseradish paste), and rice with seaweed! There is a little emphasis of soy sauce on the chest.Now you become a Sushi chef!
